i have avg antivirus and i update it all the time

i have ccleaner and use it all the time

i delete added files etc

i remove all unused programs

i use the defrag often (don't it a second ago)

i need other software (antimalware etc) to keep my computer it good condition, what do you suggest? and from what websites?

my computer closes everything by itself...even after being in safe mode....it doenst let me download another antivirus because the internet closes in like 2 seconds..what is going on...i cant afford to loose all my data in the computer..i have alot of valuable stuff.......it doenst let me go into add or remove programs or run any antivirus...i used to have pc tools antivirus but i uninstalled it thinking it was that that gave me the virus......i cant download another antivirus becasue the window closes imidately what can i do........im on my friends computer..by the way.

I just recently tried to play yahoo games after restoring my pc. I have only tried to play yahoo pool so far, but everytime i go to a room, it says wait 3 minutes for applet to load, but the bottom says "done". I've tried waiting for 3 minutes also, and that didn't work. I downloaded the latest version of Java, Shockwave player, and i also downloaded yahoo browser services. I still can't get into a room to play pool? what is going on? can anyone help me? is yahoo changing their page again and experiencing problems? i never had a problem playing before on this pc, up until i restored it. i rebooted and everything. i even tried to press the button for if the applet fails to load. i have a cable modem and my pc is not slow, so whats the problem? everything else works fine. I use EZ firewall + antivirus protection but that has never given me a problem while playing yahoo games. can anyone tell me whats going on?

One month ago i got the same problem that u got! it can understand ur problem, and here the solution:

1. Go the java.com and download ( java sun)

2. Then after u complete ur download for java sun install Java Run time environment version. note: don't download Java Run time environment for Desktop

3. Then it is going to work. but if it didn't work go to any web site and go up to ''Tools'' then Internet options, then advanced, make a mark for java options

Since i downloaded avira antivirus and spybot my computer is faster and the videos i play ....play really well( they did'nt before) but now the sound does not work!

Its probably a driver issue, but as you didn't say what sound card you have, I cant point you to any driver downloads.

AVG blocks downloads when it detects a virus so be cautious about switching it off. Its the point of having real time protection.

Its unusual for your anti virus to block a download, its usually the settings in your browser that control them. So if its giving an alert, pay attention.

you may have to open up AVG first for the icon to appear
I am surprised you have a free AVG while surfing the web....
Also please note (as I forgot to do...) that if you're using Firefox...MSN doesn't like to download through Firefox and it may not be AVG's fault at all (I also have AVG...and Firefox).

When I download MSN stuff I have to back off to my IE browser - and I don't have to change my AVG settings.
change your personal firewall setting to allow downloads via msn
If AVG is blocking the download , you need to disable it by right clicking on the icon for AVG, then download.

Hey SNAP! i have vista and purchased norton at the same time only the other day i keep getting messages from windows to say windows cannot find anti virus running on my computer and that my firewall is unmonitered for some reason it seems that windows is unable to detect norton anti virus and firewall.Confusing eh? my laptop seems to be running ok and norton is all active so i'm not really worried,but would be nice to be able to sort out the messages we keep getting!! I know that if i turn on windows anti virus it will conflict with norton and cause problems same with the firewall. so i'm going to keep an eye on this question lol see if anyone else knows what the best thing to do is!! hey have a star because i think its a good question!
