Emergency! How to stop TrustedAntiVirus Installer??

My brother's computer is downloading Trusted AntiVirus Installer, and I know it's bad. The download has 4 hours left. How can I stop it?? I'm running a Norton scan right now. Will that get rid of it? There is no exit x on the program (of course).

Please Help! I have never had this happen to my computer, but I can follow instructions very well.

Just to be absolutely certain that you stop it, reboot your computer as well as following the prior instructions - whichever ones you choose to follow.
Press 'Ctrl-Shift-Esc', and then look for the name of the program under Applications, click on it, then click 'End Process'. If you can't find the program there, click on the 'Processes' tab and do the same thing. Good luck. Oh - and end Norton too - it will only eat up processor time, and make this all harder.
To stop the download, simply disconnect from the internet. File %26gt; Work Offline.

As the person said above, click on your keyboard (Ctrl-Shift-Esc.) a window will open up where you can see what program thats running on your computer, look for the program that you are trying (or were trying) to install, click on that program , then click (Stop) this will stop the program from installing altogether and get rid of it, then click close. You will be fine. Good Luck
